This is for the contest that is having

Her name is Mithrenniel (Mee-thren-nee-ell) which means grey in elvish (JRR Tolkien's) She's of course a Kiger Mustang Mare. She's 7 years old.

Mithrenniel is a very sweet natured horse, it would take a lot to make her mad. She has an overall frindly and loving disposition

(I'm going to attempt to do a history on her, but keep in mind I'm no writer )

When Mithrenniel was young she lived with her mother in a small herd to the East of Spirit's. One day the two herds met and Spririt and her herds lead stallion battled for supremacy of the mares. Her whole herd wasn't taken by Spirit but she was one of the few mares that were. She was taken from her herd at the age of 4, she's been living with the cimarron herd for 3 years now. Before Spirit left on his long journey he had bred, of course, a few mares. She was one of them and has given birth to one of Spirit's foals. Other than that she's just a normal mare in the herd that Spirit looks after, he enjoys her company very much, having such a loving nature makes her nice to be around. She gets along with all of the other mares and loves looking after the foals.

Ok so, about the pic. It took me probably only about 2-2.5 hrs to do it. I didn't use any refs for the pose. I did however use a screenshot for her coloring and to help me get a feel for what I would do to the background. It was just done with crayola colored pencils and a micron pen for her outlines. I hope I got her coloring ok, she has kind of an odd coat. I did her in the "spirit style" which I usually don't do, and I cell shaded her kind of like the movie.
