Description Max's Princess Tutu cosplay from Katsucon 19! The costume was worn on Friday of the convention.
We met a lovely and extremely talented photographer, she goes by CT Graphy. You can find her on Flickr and Tumblr [link]

Also her website: [link]

Note: The ahoge is not attached in this picture--we did not have time to dye another feather before the con. It would have also been difficult to wear it because of the wind that day.

ATTENTION: For those who are also wondering, Max is a trained ballet dancer. She dances roughly four to five days a week--this includes pointe work. She knows what she is doing when she goes on pointe.

Yes, my Princess Tutu costume was self-made. But I'm sure you can purchase one online or something similar. I wouldn't worry too much about breast size for this costume though, Princess Tutu isn't very big in that department, haha

I'm deffo gonna look for for it then i think :3 Was your costume comfy? I hear tutus are a quite itchy because of the tulle, also what do you recommend for shoes as well I think pointe shoes are a tad expensive and might hurt to wear

Well if the tutu has an attached panty it shouldn't itch too much. It also helps if you wear stockings. As for shoes, if you are not trained in pointe, I would not recommend going on pointe. You can actually injure yourself. I would look on ebay for deshanked pointe shoes--that way you reduce the risk of injuring yourself. You could also consider satin (flat) ballet slippers. They're a pretty alternative to pointe shoes.

Okie dokies I have tried looking for a Princess Tutu costume but it has been a bit difficult for here in the UK i'd have to go international so I might look at making one for myself. Thank you for the shoe advice! I will try and look for some! failing that because I know how hard it is finding ladies shoes for boys I will have to wear some white/pink high heels or something for more feminine appearence! You've been amazing! I look forward to seeing your other cosplays! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
