A must!
Last month I went to Bologna for work reasons, so as soon as I was done I fleed to Ravenna, to see some amazing byzantine art. I completely fell in love with the city and its monuments. It was not just about the outstanding art, but there was something fresh in the air that made the stones vibrant. I have to say that I got stucked in front of that famous mosaic of Empress Theodora- that was one of the most breath-taking pieces I've ever seen on place.
When I came back, I had to keep the drawing I'd started away to let inspiration flow. This was intended to look like a mosaic, but first it was like a stained glass window, ant now... now I don't know what it seems -_-
