Description
Finally managed to do a version of the Norse mythic horse that I like. I've struggled to draw him for literal decades. Traditionally he's supposed to be grey but as I painted him as a fjord horse I went with my favourite colour for the breed, golden dun. I know the breed comes in grey too but this is the colour I love. And it makes a nice contrast with the cold stormy sky. 14x16 acrylic, coloured pencil and black wing pencil on cold press illustration board. I dream of some day going a book of paintings, sketches and writings on mythis equines. This fellow would be in that book.
