Nicely done, I like the way the trees are almost becoming clouds....

It's not something I've ever really played with myself.... I should, I need some new inspiration/ideas at the moment....

i adore it. although most of the dslr cameras cannot actually do it, they all have little infrared blockers in front of the sensor for whatever reason. but you can get an older point-and-shoot like mine (the powershots, from what i can tell, can all do infrared) and then a $20 mount and a little $40 filter and do nice infrared stuff.
for my part, i think im going to buy a 20D off of my roommate, because its about time i learned to use an actual camera.

i love the infrared. its the main reason i havent actually upgraded to a real camera, i think. mostly i just want the 20D so i can do proper depth of field, which is a total loss with my tiny camera. but honestly my pictures are only about 10% actual photograph and then 90% postprocessing.
bruges! that should be excellent. have some good beer for me.

is it infrared only? or did you mix it? it has such an outstanding quality....

this one is just infrared. but i did a strange workup with it, where i took the picture at a really high ISO with a low exposure so it has a great deal of grain, fixed the levels with photoshop, and then i put it through neatimage in order to clean out the noise [link] which i think is part of what gives it that sort of dreamy look to it. im a fan of that technique, although im not sure why taking a picture with high grain and then removing the grain is different then just taking it without the grain, but it really does come out differently somehow. then the textures are all various concretes and rocks this time.
