I'm sick and tired of not drawing. Really, I am. I've been avoiding my commissions so diligently that I have not drawn for myself since September of 2004. And since that time, I have only completed one commission. How incredibly sad is that? So I've been itching to finish this once and for all. Maybe then I can concentrate on my stupid commissions...I thought I'd remind you all that I was in fact working on this. I drew the column back in September, it's the only thing new. But when I blended it, shiny-ville! So it'll have to be erased, I bought some carbon pencils to try. Sadly, it took me four hours to draw that piece of crap. This is 27 hours of work, doesn't look it, does it? Probably why I stopped working on it
Alright, I'll sign off before I get more melancholy.

Somebody doesn't sound happy. I love this so far, and can't wait to see it finished. The way you've got the light on the skin and the tones you've used are excellent! I myself am also canvassing for comissions now, I've got my second one... another greyhound... and that's going alright... sort of slowed down with it, but I have until July! Thankfully
Anyways, keep going with this and when you get the time, draw your heart out for YOU!

Don't let setbacks get to you - by doing that you create more of them. I've finished the greyhound now, and my client is... unbelievably chuffed with it. I are rather happeh at that. Just need to get it framed - it's a dodgy size, so I can't go buying cheapo frames at the moment, got to go to the frame shop and see what they can do.
Anyhow, best of luck with everything... just don't stress yourself over anything and it'll come a lot easier!

Cheer up there mate! I know it's easy to say yet hard to do, but you shouldn't push yourself too hard. Sometimes one has to just take a breather and put projects on hold. Besides when you feel the mood to finish it you'll be amazed at what the results will come about. ^_~
