I've been following your work for several years now, Heather. It is consistent in emotive and painterly qualities Love your work.

Lovely depiction of the pool-like water texture. The vibrant, distorted feel of water is brought out spectacularly, and combined with the fascinating patterns, this interesting concept of something incredibly unique stands out even more.
I feel as if the distorted human figure adds even more depth than if it should have been a clear figure - it gives the sense that the water has formed this recognizable shape as if the character was part of the pool. Like your description, the identity of the person appears swallowed and taken into water to stare hopelessly up at the audience, unable to resurface and claim back her character, forever.
The central focal point and bright, contrasting colours of the figure work very nicely with the vibrant water. Unbelievably awesome concept, great work!
