Description There is stereotype that in Russia it is always very cold and snowing. Nonsense. We don`t have such cold winters as you think. And our summers very hot. In fact, there`s 81°F now in place where I live. The heat is killing me >< That is why, I wanted to draw winter. The falling snow is always beautiful, is not it? =^^=

81 Degrees is hot in Russia? I'm moving there! This last Summer, it was AT LEAST 100 degrees every day by 9:00 in the morning! EVERY DAMNED MORNING!

Oh my goodness this is gorgeous. The hair, especially - it looks like a painter loaded up a brush with oils and just spread the colours so thickly. Small things, too - like the snow collecting on their arms and heads and coats. The title, though, is what pulled me in. I admit I heard the Moulin Rouge version before hearing the Bowie original, so "Heroes" wasn't quite what I was expecting ...but I learned to like it (a lot) on its own merits.

Aw, I like it. Some people think the same about Canada, (about being hot and really cold, each province differs). I heard the heat is too much in some parts of Russia but that's just our news so I don't know how reliable that is.I really love this picture though, I just looked at in full view and it's even more stunning, the details are lovely, I like the shading and highlights in their hair, the light pink on their cheeks and noses. I like how dark their clothes seem, but they're beautiful, chestnut brownish coat and the blue you have for his coat I really like. I like the snowflakes that you have on their heads and clothes, and drifting in the air it gives a feeling of calm. Their poses, embrace, is very sweet just gives off a warm feeling while also seeming very natural.

There's also the style you draw, I don't know how to describe it, it's very sharp (faces and figures especially) and detailed and vibrant with the highlights you seem to put into it. You make their hair so shiny and elaborate with the curls on the lady in this picture, but also the waves in his hair, you just shape out the strands and just make it come together so nicely. I remember trying to draw hair and thinking "why don't people make them bald? This is annoying." Anyway, I hope you they like it too for the contest and if not enough, well I still think it's a beautiful picture and it actually makes me like the song a lot more.
