Well i always imagined Vergil a bit older. So i gave him a goatee , and extended the hair from the front.
Im not so big on the anime look , im sure if you look at most of my drawings you wont find anime in them

But yeah in this version i wanted a solid build for him , and yet he gives off this royal look.
Since Vergil is a cold hearted Badass

He's a cold-hearted badass who just happens to be elegant and regal.

This build is just too knight-like.

And giving him a sword other than Yamato is just sacrilege.

i wanted a muscular build , something different , instead of the usual overused coat/jacket we allways see him in.

It is Yamato only i didnt bother finishing the end of the blade. Tough people would get it.
You cant have it any other way

It doesn't suit his personality, and with his demon blood it's completely unnecessary.

Well depends , you just dont see Vergil being muscular now days. Plus this is him in his late 30s

I believe a sharp goatee suits Vergil , i mean in devil may cry 4 i loved Angelo Credo - who was voiced by the same guy who voiced Vergil in DMC3 so yeah
It gives him a more 'crude demeanor'

Thats what im implying , Vergil deserves it. Besides i believe weire passed the ice cold. Probs start working on a Credo Angelo soon hmm.

Personally I believe this interpretation of Vergil is quite nice. The goatee looks great to be honest.
But that is just my opinion.
Also just of note; this is simply fanart. This artist isn't an artist on the next DMC title (yet). Don't worry, your slender regal Vergil won't be going away anytime soon.

Slender, Regal Virgil is already dead. All that's left is corrupt demon Nelo Angelo. Who's also dead.

At any rate, it's all moot anyway, we don't even know if this new "Dante" has a twin brother, if it's even the real one at all.
