The next morning has Medusa Rose leaving Skull Mountain along with Metal Sonic and Metal Shadow. Armed with her hammer, "Faithbreaker", Medusa sets off to the the area where the Foreverstones are.

"According to the Master, I should look for a pair of stone pillars with strange runes etched in them," thought Medusa. "He also said that when I reach the stones, I should touch them in a certain pattern. Once the panel opens up, a portal will open that will take me to where the Sword of Wishes is. I'll have my Metal flunkies behind me deal with the Manticore and after that beast is finished, I'll have the Sword of Wishes. And I know just what to wish for. And once my wish is granted, that will be the first step in taking over this world with Amthyst!"

Medusa then lets out an evil laugh as she passes the obilisks to head for her quest.
