I've been seeing a lot of awesome Pokemon gijinka lately (*emlan 's, =eatfun 's, um....a couple of Japanese artists whose websites I forget |D) so that inspired me to try a couple of my own. Originally I was going to do my entire Blue team, but then I kinda lost intrest over the past week. I might pick it up again soon, though.So, Bulby (Venusaur) and Graham (Raichu) who you guys might know from my last picture of my team. CHARMING, AREN'T THEY?

These are so beyond awesome. : D The Raichu has a bit of a Naruto vibe, aha. They frayed sweater and backback on the Venusaur are great.

I always draw him with a spot over that eye (Left over from his Bulbasaur days), and that was the only way I could think of to convert it XD

I TOTALLY LOVEEEE how your interpretation is so true to life, and you don't just bs it and make them bishies or beautiful magical looking girls or anything. And being totally serial, there is no way that anyone could interpret bulbasaur better. NO. WAY. JOSE.

THIS WINS <3 I love Bulby's design so, he's so.. trashy? heh. Graham's hair is the best ever and he's very huggable. I would so totally love to see the rest of team /any pokΓ©mon as peeps too ;; I'm sure I'm not the only one ;;

HAH, yeah, he's like...some weird guy you'd find sleeping on a bench in New York City or something. XD BUT HE IS HUGGABLE TOO I THINK.
(Also, these are so much fun that I can't stay away from drawing them much longer, I'm gonna have to do the rest of the team. And maybe enter the Pokedex project sometime)

Is that a black eye Bulby has? Ouch.
I love how they actually look like the Pokemon and have a lot of character, unlike so many of the more generic gijinka. I really want Bulby's backpack.

Venusaur was so much fun to...gijinkify. |D There's like, no gijinka of them on DA, which is kinda disappointing...it's like everyone's afraid to try the not-so-pretty Pokemon. ]:

I completely adore these guys because they aren't typical Pokemon gijinka. They look so much real and cool. XD
I admire how well they both stand out in silhouette. That's a sign of great character design.
