(goddamn DA title limits RESTRICTING MY FOTC REFERENCES you fuckers)hi okay this has MAJOR spoilers for Mother 3, so if you're one of the people who I introduced to this game recently, STOP LOOKING AT THIS. AVERT YOUR EYES. DO IT NOOWWWW.
...ok, so. It's creepy brainwashed reconstructed cyborg Claus!!! at least, that's what I assume happened to him...to be honest, his wings/arm cannon seemed more like just accessories to me (especially since it often looks like he has a normal right arm), but it would be pretty damn creepy if Porky had made him his "robot" on a more literal level...
fff I'm aware of how compositionally boring this is, I just felt like designing his uniform/drawing some mechanical wings...then giving it a cheap coloring job and disguising it with a plethora of lazy photoshop effects and textures. (from here btw )

A lot of Claus roleplayers, much like myself, tend to view the arm cannon as an accessory, BUT often consider his whole right arm being a prosthetic of sorts- a rather advanced one at that. The wings are also commonly seen as... Well, capable of folding /into/ his back. Personally, I thought the jetpack was pointless [Though after realizing these proportions, it was a good idea after all]
Though Claus is one of my favorites, I'm mainly displeased with the amount of different variations there are of his outfit/wings/hair/eyes.
Getting back to the subject of the drawing... I personally like this one. I like it a lot. So you used textures, whoop-dee-doo. It's the overall concept people like. I'm into the pilot-like look for the kid. The wings- Probably the best well-depicted design I've seen thus far.
Overall, it's the best I've seen.

What's interesting is that your take on his jacket is almost exactly the same as mine - except mine has buttons instead of a zip. I love his boots! I could never quite decide how I wanted his boots to look, but seeing yours, I think that's a great idea. I might steal them <3 hehe.
Also, I have his jacket. Made it myself! I made the ruff and then stitched it onto an actual general's jacket - I love wearing it.

im not fully sure why but "post war scare propaganda" comes to mind 0_0 the style even looks like it's from around that time, just flattened. the flatness makes it even creepier actually ...
i also dont know what I mean when i say it looks "japanese," but it's probably because of the thin lines. i dont know how thats a compliment, but it is ^v^

Haha, interesting--I can actually see the style similarities on both points, now that you mention it, hahaha. THE PROPAGANDA SEEMS...EERILY APPROPRIATE, and the Japanese influence might have been from looking at some of the amazing Mother 3 fanart they produce, ahhh *__* And thank you so much!

Wow, love the colours, and your design's great--the wings and details on the jacket especially.
I think he's a cyborg too--I have fond memories of listening to the OST before beating the game, and I assumed that Natural Killer Cyborg was actually his music. Boy was I surprised XDDD but yeah, I think he's only partially reconstructed--fake eye, some fake internal organs/system and his canon and wings.
