this is a farsi type created by reza abidni, its not the clasical farsi calligraphical type i know.. its not shekaste nor nastaaliq or mu3allah its clear. but it IS farsi type..
and as for the style its based on the works of reza abedini.... i am not attempting calligraphy. its typo

even if it is a derivative of thuluth, everything is based on something.. but its Reza abedini's work, and part of our typo project was to build on an artists influence...i am just debating you, and thanx for ur view.
But it is NOW a persian type....
and this IS persian typography of a modern Persian / Iranian Type master...

so even if its based on Arabic Thuluth..

it has changed and no longer is that..

Basically all Persian script is based on arabic symbols.. but that doesnt mean its arabic.. u can write arabic in it, but its farsi... and u can write farsi in arabic script..

anyway its just a matter of view.. thats all..

for example if i make a type face..
its goin to be refered to as the type face of hadi the lebanese...

its not a matter of race.. but of country of origin.....

well again its a matter of view. its not a classical thing.. and this style is based on Polish Typography.. classical calligraphical and modern calligraphical standards dont count i can understand why u might not like his treatment... bess its a style which has its ppl .. its kinda a school of art..
