Fortunately, the distraction of chores and important meetings had helped Margret stay sane after learning the estimated arrival date of the transport that was taking her horse home. But now, on the day of the handover, she felt the anxiety tightening in her stomach. It was the first time she'd bought a horse specifically for herself after moving across the country to work at Oakwood Creek. She had absolutely no reason to complain. The barn owners were a nice older couple who really trusted her to manage the barn. They let her stay in one of the guest apartments and paid her more than enough to get by. It was almost ... scary ... how easy her life had become since the big move. This new wild horse could be her first real challenge here in Austria.
