Description
As I have said in my journal that I will use the unfinished work - Xiao Hun, finish it and mark it as my 1000 hits present artwork.Well, just completed last night, the whole pic took me another 4 hours to complete the bottom part. Although the whole artwork is complete, I haven't redesign the frame and wording around it ( which maybe I will do it in the near future.)
And then, I've make a quick touch around some areas with Photoshop and add in thr rainbow color.
Now, let me say ...

Too me alot of carefully controlled force on the pen nibs to carefully draw those tiny details on her dresses.

I use pilot pen 0.25 and Rotring isograph pen to draw this one. If use tablet, i think I will faint first...
(Lost one handkerchief, oh..well, have to buy another one....)

Isograph pen is use in technical design, such as building, car or mech design. The tip is so thin - alittle force can break it, but the line it create is very thin.

Yup, in chinese we call like that. In english, it call Isograph - so you won't know what kinds of pens it is until someone use "needle head pen".

I love the oriental feel of this piece...very beautiful. I've always loved to draw my country's, china, ancient costumes...especially that of the maidens. I think you've captured it quite well, and the chinese characters surrounding it adds to the effect. But the only chinese i recgonize is where it says "2006". lol. The other chinese characters must be ancient. Well, the hours you spent on it definitely shows on the final result, a job very well done. The mulitcolors that are overlaying the character adds very nicely to the softness of the entire piece.

The Chinese word are indeed the ancient texts, some of my frens able to read out a few texts. I salute them for been able to read it.

Too bad, the yellow is too bright to view under the white BG for alot of ppls.
