FULLVIEW PLZ!For those that want to color this pic, here is something to help a little with finding what is what.

Most of the lines from the outfit have been deleted b/c of the hair, so i'm sure it'll get complicated when coloring.
This is a gift for dear old who i noticed has been around giving me tips for a looong while, so decided to surprise him with a gift of his favorite and beautiful character: Morrigan!
So this is my thank you to you!
I was going to use a cosplay picture and fully use it as a template/ reference, but i'm glad i didn't... or couldn't considering I'm still waiting for permission...
This picture was frustrated nonetheless there were a few times i was going to give up on it! lol.

Well, I've learnt a lot about coloring (and mines not good) from this website called conceptart(dot)org. They mostly do super-realistic, so while their help may not always apply to me, it certainly does to you. Read their WIPs and critique parts (well, all the site is super useful) and I'm sure you'll find useful stuff. I also recommend this book: [link] super, super useful, but it does get kinda boring at times heh.

Coloring realistically is freaking hard as hell, maybe b/c i think too much when i do it and i want it to have this perfect lighting.
But i'll no doubt try it today, i don't feel like drawing anything else, this one... it took a lot outta me.

Whenever I do realistic ones, I tend to reminisce artworks by Renaissance artists. How is that inspirational?!
Ah, take your time..I'm gonna try to get one half done today..The eyes ruined the second project yesterday; it just didn't work. The shading was perfect, the colour everything. But the shape was so outta whack! Ah well, on to the next one.

Don't get me wrong; I love Renaissance art, especially Baroque but trying to picture those paintings while struggling with colours is not a fruitful endeavor for me!! But they did exaggerate positions and lighting but I think that is what I love.
Nah..The eye did not fit and then I tried another; that didn't work and by the end I was tearing at my hair[not literally] and so I thought I needed a fresh piece..I wasn't going to delete it but I don't what happened I just went shift+delete!
By the way, can I ask you look into a WIP I may post tonight and say what I need to fix/ go with?

i think lighting is kinda meant to be exaggerated in art lol. It's what makes it unlike real life and thus making it god like... i think
damn, i never delete my stuff, though my first version of the morrigan pic i was thinking i should, cuz i was heavily references a picture i should have gotten permission for, so i just stopped drawing it.

Yeah, I should stop too.The thing is I've saved so many of my old stuff but somehow lately I've been trying so hard to improve that even a good piece looks bad and so I lose it. I gotta learn from you and be patient and get some friends who draw. Damn frigging lonely here in a new city.

believe me i have a few friends that draw and they're style isn't like mines, so i'm kinda alone. And the person i can kinda relate to i don't see or speak to. My b/f who i've been with for seven years doesn't get the aspect of my drawing, he looks at it and gives me his opinion, but when i say "oh you remember that one pic i did..." he's like "idk baby you do a lot of pics." which is true... but yeah lol.
What would probably help you is taking some art classes and mingling, you know. Would def help finding someone with your style and maybe someone that's going in your direction, if possible.
aww thanks. Yeah i remember the picture that i started to get into detail, i enjoyed it so much i didn't stop. I've had my times, but with the way i draw/color i have to have patience, i do things soooo slow lol.

Yeah, back home I had a few friends but we all got scattered to different parts of the globe and now its so hard to keep in contact that it feels redundant. I've yet to find a person who shares a similar hobby here in Aus; the last place I stayed in was devoid of creativity of any sort. Well, the place was like a village but a very boring village. Perth is still new to me, I mean its only been 2 weeks. But since I'm going to studying Game Design, I'm sure I'll find someone to relate to. [and eat their brain by bitching day and night!]
But yeah, its a problem when you have a friend or in your case a boyfriend who doesn't share the same hobby. They will certainly like that part of you but never really be able to give a more intimate insight and you feel like they should but then again, it would be the same if they have a hobby that you don't share. Like music or sculpting for that matter.

Yeah he has this hobby in which i guess you can call it, sale hunting. He gets games and things for half the price it should be. But what pisses me off is that he doesn't use 90% of what he buys. I mean he got it on sale, but what's the point if you're not gonna use it? Most times he sells them, but i guess.
I remember he was getting on me about getting a sub on this website was a waste a money. I gave him the money and i wanted to pay for it with his credit card. I looked on dA later that day and i was like where the fuck is my sub!! I called him up and he preached to me how it was a waste of money
i don't get mad at him for much, but i had to put my foot down. I told him, how are you going to tell me how to spend my money, i don't say CRAP when you spend money on your games and shit.

Ah, the internet; the illusionary web that brings two worlds together. Hey, you're totally my friend! At this point the internet has kept me sane as I get to talk through Skype and all. But my best friend is in UK and we're 7 hrs apart! I have to be awake at 2 in the night to talk to him!
I actually have never heard of Sale Hunting but I do get the gist. But that was funny, in a morbid sense but sort of intrusive. When it comes to games I too wait for sales, I find it too frugal to spend 80-90 dollars on a game that I might get on 30 some months later.
But yeah, one's money is their money. We should be able to do what we want with it.
