would you mind uploading a high res image of this, while looking at it from directly in front? the turntable makes it look awesome and very good, but blurry.

Would you recommend zbrush as a baby's first modeling software?

No. I think you need to know how to control your mesh on a more base level than Zbrush ables you to do.
So for a basics you can try Maya\Max or Silo (less complex program, but cheaper and includes all tools for low and hi res modeling)
Zbrush is perfect for organic sculpting, but when you need a clear and simple mesh - it can be a total mess.
I know there is a way to do a hardsurface in Zbrush but personally it's more comfortable and easy for me to do it in maya.
