I was listening to Mike Mignola's interview on the "Word Balloon" podcast and just had to draw Hellboy afterwards. He talked about how much fun it would be to draw Hellboy in Japan. So thats the reason he's got the swords. Crits are more then welcomed!Related content

nice man, looks pretty good as a samurai, but i think hellboy is a hard character to make look bad anyway.

Hellboy was in Japan. Ancient Japan. It was a movie on Cartoon Network about 2 weeks ago. It wasn't half bad either, although I know little about Hellboy to base my opinion on.
As far as a crit, his left pectoral muscle looks really large. I don't think it would be quite that far to the left (our left) and you might just see part of his right pec underneath the weaponry. The pectorals usually meet lined up with the middle of the neck. He's really nice and 3-dimensional in the upper body but his hips are FLAT. There is no definition at all. His pants are just a flat shape. And he's floating because he doesn't have any legs. Even though the paper would cut them off, they are not there at all now. I wish they would fit on the paper but I'd settle for them at least being drawn in.
I like his expression and the detail on that right hand is quite nice.
