This here is Cammy from Street Fighter games (dunno much about the universe of SF but anyhow...). To make myself clear, the lineart isn't mine but the very talented 's. I was looking through his gallery and spotted this lineart in the scraps section and since he said there that someone could use this for coloring, well, he it is. I have to say that this is first coloring or even anything related to drawing and painting I have done in many weeks. So, I guess this could be called a practice work in the field of coloring stuff.I am just get a bit too easily frustrated while doing anything so it results in crappy coloring or very crappy lineart-ing. Anyway, since I had this wonderful lineart from Elpinoy's gallery I had a bit better ground to start coloring (usually I am more or less frustrated with the lineart of my own illustrations that the coloring starts getting bad from the beginning).

Thanks. I too have a long way to travel until I can say that I know how to draw or color something the way I want to. But then again, can we ever be in a state where we can say: 'Now I am as good as I want to be. This is as far as I wanted to go with my skills."
But I encourage you to push forward and always try and do better than the latest art you have done. That's what I try to keep in mind even if it doesn't always come true in the end.

Thanks! It sure is nice to hear someone actually likes some of my works these days (I myself belong to the group who hates my works... yeah...). Actually it's nice to see that I have made something meaningful.

Ahh, you shouldn't feel that way. You're tons more talented than a lot of people around, so you should never feel too bad about your work, even if you're ever at a low point artistically. ^^

It's just that I am not satisfied in anything I do. I lack courage to try different approaches to completing an "art" piece. I also have little nerve when it comes to finish something; you see, I get so easily tired and bored of what I am doing (usually this happens when I should ink or color my works). I don't really know why but this is the way things are. Still, thanks for your kind words.

Don't worry--I have exactly the same problems. xD
It's why half the things I draw don't make it here...a lot of my artwork is composed of unfinished pictures.

great balance of midtones, highlights, and shadows. you could make it more consistent by adding more of the bluish ambient light on the knees, hair, and suit.
all in all, good job. keep it up

You are right about the ambient light. I really have very little experience about coloring pictures with ambient light. I am sort of cautious when using color tones and usually end up using just the "skin" tones without the colors reflected by light and environment. The grey is sure effective but I am not too familiar with it yet to use it so much. There is an area of studying there.

väritys on hieno! pisteet siitä! mutta cammy on kovan luokan atleetikko ja sen muotonen

Thanks for the comment and the critique. I was sort of... umm... bored in the end (as usual when coloring) so I sort of went where the fence is the lowest.
