Description
Felt like drawing pretty vintage dresses and also felt like doing some character studies, so I decided to combine the two with the backstories I've been composing for Sara and Benjamin's parents.

Petra grew up in Boppard: her family owned and ran the restaurant attached to the Bellevue Hotel. She grew up in an upper-class, comfortable environment, though was never close with either parents, who tended to be stuffy, cold people.

Evita's parents had a summer home on the waterfront, and she and Petra became fast friends despite the Freidman's misgivings about their daughter hanging around a Jew of color. Regardless, they ended up going to the same boarding school, and after that, both attended Hannover University, where they met their eventual husbands.

Nikolai Fleischer, born Nikolai Felecos, was born in Tripoli, Greece, to an old, moderately wealthy family. Shortly after the untimely death of his elder sister, he decided to go with his cousin to Germany for a business opportunity, and eventually attended the university in Hannover, as well. Was already fluent in German, though perfected it during his studies, and decided to Germanize his last name and subdue his accent in order to better assimilate.
