Danny is the most adorable child i have ever seen, i want to grab his cheeks and make weird unintelligable noises and coos. But doesnt he have down syndrome?

haha, thank you! And no, Daniel doesn't; Benjamin had another younger brother, Caleb who had down syndrome. Caleb was killed by Nazi soldiers while they were separating him from his family.

OHHHHH!!! so tradgic :'[ my best friend's little brother has down syndrome and im always over their helping out with him, hes so cute but its so sad, you can tell how hard hes thinking about things and how he understands them, but he just cant physically say and do what he wants. Also the other week my friends younger sister with a milder case of down syndrome who gets teased by her classmates alot, told my friend Lydia *her older sister*, that she didnt think she belonges on earth, and didnt know why she was the way she was, and how she didnt want to be here anymore. This has just really not been a good year for me and my friends as far as family tradgies go :/

aww, that's really sad. I've taken care of a boy who I think has autism on a couple occasions, and the case is really similar. He's a brilliant little boy, and a complete gentlemen; I took care of him during a summer camp for five-year-olds that teenagers can volunteer for for community service. All the other counselors were like "he's cute, but he takes so long to respond to things and he hardly talks at all"; they didn't even try to figure him out. But as soon I reached out to him, I discovered what a special kid he was. An amazing artist, extremely polite, very sweet, and an amazing memory. He once remembered an entire conversation I had with him three days before word by word. He wouldn't leave my side for the entire week, and he would compliment me on my jewelry; it was so cute! It's just sad that people can't appreciate and accept people who are different.

Exactly. all they want is to be treated like the rest of everyone, and alot of the time they are really good artists, and my friends little brother gets so happy when i help him draw, they're the sweetest little kids and its so sad that people cant see that. This winter im working at a winter volunteer camp where you teach handicap and competors in the speacil olympics to ski race. I myself am a ski racer and im giving up my USSSA ski racing license to do this, but i mean im not going to the olympics so i should do something that really matters because those kids are so happy when they come down that course, they dont even need to win its just doing something that real olympians do that make them so happy.
