Don’t forget that he spent a few years with the Legion. I’d be willing to bet they had at least some training with the gladius, or Tamrielic equivalent. πŸ˜‰ Still, there’s also a plot-related reason for the sword. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. No pun intended.
