Description

Another she-naga (nagini). Unnamed, so far. She's a witch or someone like that... Shaman?
Again: I really love her scaled tail. It looks like my masterpiece, but her human half... Hell, what have I done to her left arm? Moreover, apparently her neck is too long... *sigh* If not that tail I wouldn't submit this piece on dA, never ever.

Despite one or two anatomy quirks, that tail is really nice, and it takes a lot of attention away from scrutinizing the anatomy. It doesn't make the picture any less enjoyable. If you're having any issues with a particular pose, then it might be worth looking up some references

Sometimes I make use of references, but it happens only if I get into serious trouble with poses.  To me it's hard to find suitable reference when a vision (big words, isn't it?) is already sketched out. Also it is tricky to figure out what and where should be typed in order to find pictures of particular poses (maybe that matter wouldn't be so nasty if I had more rapid loading of Internet contents)... This time unfortunately I didn't make an effort to look for any references.

I understand where you're coming from, I usually draw from my head too. I used references recently when I couldn't figure out how to draw a piggyback ride. Sometimes I draw what I see in front of me in person, and when it comes to drawing from my head later on, use what I've learned from drawing earlier. Google is usually the place to go for reference images for me, and if not google, I look at stock and resource images here on dA.

Google makes seeking risky, "if you know what I mean", I make use of this search engine only if I have particular characters to check, eg. Mario or Corpse Bride's protagonists lately. Otherwise I rather choose a well-tried site with stocks (sorry, no crypto-advertising here), there are plenty of images, all of them are extensively tagged, so finding what I like the most is quite easy... The problem is if you want those stocks for free then you must accept that the images are rather not too big and water-marked. Usually it doesn't bother me

Don't worry, I know what you mean ^^' I guess I've been lucky using google so far, but I find looking for stock here on dA(that people have allowed as use for stock)tends to get you some good quality photos to work from.

Oh, yes. I would never complain about stock's quality on dA, it's usually very good :]

Plus try to find what you want with download as fast as phlegmatic turtle hunting for lettuce... Then it is the challenge!
