Leaf the treefrog, technically my first ever Sonic fan character.
Ironically Barbara is, at this time, my most recent Sonic fan character, and I finished and uploaded her art first.

Leaf comes from a hidden realm of magic within Sonic's universe, kinda like the Other Realm in the Sabrina the Teenage Witch series. There he specialized in magic that could manipulate plant life. His mentor, Rynok the archmage trained him and his two friends personally. Leaf was content with his life, only taking things seriously when he had to. And when he didn't have to, he liked to take things easy and flirt with cute girls.

The reason I say he is "technically" my first Sonic fan character is because he started out as another frog character named Flip the Frog who was merely a fan of Sonic that learned to copy his techniques. Flip later evolved to be a copycat fighter who could imitate other characters' moves, and after the Gizoids were introduced to Sonic lore, I changed Flip into a mage and specified that he was a Treefrog. That inspired the idea that he should specialize in plant magic and the name change. And so Flip evolved into Leaf the Treefrog.
