I think by having her sitting on the actual road with shadows cast from the explosion, it looks like she's a giant woman sitting in the middle of the street. Is this the intention?

In terms of composition, there seems to be a lot of wasted space at the top...might consider shifting him to the right behind the van, and moving the girl up so she's not a giant in the streets. That is, of course, unless I'm wrong and she IS a giantess.
