This is just chapter 2's title page. Which was drawn the "opposite" of Chapter 1 title page . NICE TO KNOW I IMPROVED SINCE I DRAW THAT EH? Ahaha been a year and then some since I drew that so I would HOPE I improved XD.
Giving In's story is artificial-starlight at FF.net , art by Saloe Aeri (me), and Hetalia is Hidekaz Himaruya's.

I like how you switched up who looks at who . In the first it was Matthew looking at Ivan and now it's vice versa. It's subtle and displays the interests they have in eachother.

I do like RusCan, but I really do love this story for the interaction between the two rather than just the pairing

never liked PruCan in the first place as well! RusCan is cute but I love seeing them more of brotherly (dunno why but I find their bromance cuter than that of UsCan). And of course UsCan, I ship romantically C:

Let me just say that I hate US/CANADA and Prussia/Canada. (I only like Russia/Canada and Prussia/Austria)
I use to hate Prussia. I just coulden't like him...then for some reason I wrote a fanfic about him. Now he is the main focus of my lap top wall paper. *sigh*
Even after likeing him...I still skim his parts in "Giving In". I just don't think he needed to be brought into the story. I still read it though.

As much as people might give you flak for it, I personally love that you are opinionated and don't give a damn what other people think. You state what you state and don't give any false apologies for it.
It's understandable that this would be your second priority, and unlike others who might be upset over that, I'm glad it's in your priorities at ALL!
I also understand WHY it's your second priority if it's not even your favorite pairing. (Like how I stopped working on a project because I fell out of love with USUK -shudders-. It wasn't the main pairing by far, but I wanted to do the script justice and not completely change it for my liking, so I just quit....)
I love your art, and even though I'm not a huge fan of your OTP (I was a few good months ago, and I wish I saw your art back then so I could fully appreciate it more), I'm glad you haven't strayed away from what YOU like and not what others want you to like.

Though I still have a soft spot for USCan as long as they're not blood related. I have nothing against fictional (repeat: FICTIONAL) incest, but it personally gives me the willies ever since my cousin and I started cosplaying as the twins from OHSHC and the fangirls wanted us to...-shudders- Yeah, not a pretty memory. LOL, but I'll still check out your art ^_^

I also personally don't care for Prussia (not just trying to agree with you or anything...he's not my favorite) and I also skimmed over a few parts with him in it. But I like the RusCan-ness ^_^ (only because the story turned me into a RusCan fan when I was a Rochu fan T^T)

I can totally understand the losing interest part. Im with you on the Prussia the story flow killer. I can read fic where he's the main character, but as a major-minor character, he kinda interupts the flow. That said its still a quality fic, and i look forward to chapter two. ^^

I totally agree on you on Prussia. I actually don't mind him in the manga/anime. He's just... there. Definitely not my fave character but I can deal with him. But when he's there in fanfics just because, it gets irritating. And when you dare to say you don't like him, his fans eat you alive!
I used to anger myself a lot over PruCan too but I decided to just let it go. I still don't approve of the pairing and but I'm trying my best to simply ignore it's existence.

But there's really on thing I'd like to say and get off my mind and I'd really appreciate if you took the time to read and reply to what I have to say. I'm in no way flaming or bashing you, I'm just curious. I know you have a strong hate for PruCan, and I'll always respect that, but I'm curious to really why because you seem so prejudiced against it. Sometimes when you display your dislike for PruCan, you do it in a way I find that insults the fans of that ship. Honestly, sometimes you just offend me by making it sound like we're just after the "cute" and "crack" and "physical" aspects of it as fans.
I feel that you're doing the same as the people who were flaming you for like AmeCan because it's "incest."
Sure they're are some fans that love the pairing for the shallowness that it can be portrayed with, but I feel it's also because of the headcanons of some people that the pairing comes across as that. In my head, I like the pairing because even if they didn't interact much in the past, with the way my headcanon for Canada goes they actually have had extremely similar experiences. I'd really appreciate it if you took the time to reply.

Oh no, I'm not at all offended at your comment -- to be honest, I was prepared for such things the moment I say such things because obviously some people feel strongly about such things (as I do about USCan).
But I was a little (a LITTLE I swear, not a lot) upset about the fact you compared to that godsbedamned girl who flamed me for USCan because I feel that I am different from her, albeit not much to you prolly but it's a difference to me.
For one, that girl had the gall to go to my DA and tell/comment to me that she thought it or me was gross but I have never personally attacked anyone for their choice. I hate the fandom, but that doesn't mean I hate the people liking them. I mean, like I said elsewhere, what you like and what you hate is your own business and it is mine own.
I've expressed my disbelief at why in the blasted world is it so popular while there are PLENTLY of other pairings that make more sense and yadda yadda but not once have I said to stop liking it nor did I say that all PruCan fans should burn in hell for liking it. I wasn't pissed because that girl called it incest (because it's right or wrong depending on how one views it and I particularily don't give a damn if even if it is incest) or even that she thinks I'm gross for it, but rather that she felt the need to tell me on my "own turf" as it were.
That being said, why can't I say such things (about PruCan, etc etc) in my little space? I mean it's not like I'm going to people's pages telling them to come to my page so they can hear me say bad things about things they like. I draw and then I talk about it (about the picture and what was on my mind at the time when I was doing it) -- it's how I vent and relieve myself of stress/troubles or whatever while doing said pictures and if it conflicts with some peoples' views etc, that can't be helped as I can't cater to EVERYONE and I'm not expecting to.
I'm assuming here, but I think when some people read such things, there are choices open for them to do: they agree (which, yay for me); they don't care; they ignore it while thinking yes, that lady is crazier than a 3-cent coin; or they leave. It wasn't my intention and again, I'm not personally attacking you or anyone which I say stuff like that and I'm sorry if my dislike/hatred bleeds into that, but if you find it offensive, I'm not forcing you to stay.
Most, I would think, is just here for the art and damn the crazy lady's views and/or thoughts. Like I said, it's a stress reliever for me and I don't particularily care if anyone agrees with me or not. It's like a risk you take when you venture into "my domain", you can't have one without the other.

lol because of Prussia? Gilbert isn't too involved (and there's not any PruCan mentioned). :/ But I'm sorry his inclusion ruined it, really. His character is strong, even when he shows up very little. You must have stopped reading a while back though, huh? Because the ending is near- Prussia showed up in the 20th chapter...

No no, I adored your story, it was just... well once Prussia went in, my interest just slowly got chipped away everytime he was mentioned and what not because I pretty much skipped over his parts. I continued reading even after Prussia was introduced into the story but yeah, having to skim/skip parts makes the story less enjoyable for me. I realized I lost my interest at the part where they kiss (which was pretty recent I believe).
But yes, your story is still awesome! So much that I continued reading even when Prussia was in there!
