Description Part in Duelist Kingdom that we never got to see. Right after Yami defeats Pegasus and Yugi's soul returns to him from the shadows. In the show they only show Yugi looking up and telling Pegasus that they'd won, but I think there must have first been something like this, where Yami is overjoyed to find Yugi waking up.

Upon my watching the first series (series 0), I found I love Yami's red eyes, as well as Yugi's wavy hair as you can see. They help define their characters I think.

I love the idea behind it. You are so right concerning that series. Going from "Noooo...I can't feel his spirit. He can't be... Yugi, YUGI!" Game ends. Psh, he's just fine, no wear on his spirit at all and all ready making demands on Pegasus. Go figure. ^_^

"Aibou" is Japanese for "partner". I just got used to hearing Yami use that word when refering to Yugi, seeing as I own a lot of the original Yugioh episodes. And Yugi also calls Yami "mou hitori no boku" which means something like "the other me".

Sweet picture. The Pharaoh's love for Yugi (not meant to be pervy) really shows.

I just finished reading volume 8 of YuGiOh Duelist. I thought maybe my memory was betraying me because I thought Yugi's soul was trapped in a card too or sent into the Shadow Realm during his duel with Pegasus. I guess that's just a variation between the manga and anime. I kinda prefer the manga version of how Yugi dealt with his loss to Kaiba. The anime version was a bit too emo for me. I like that Yugi actually grew a pair and just dealt with it.

Ah! Don't worry, this wasn't in the either anime and I don't think it was in the manga. But it's something I really think they -should- have had, would have been an awesome scene. (unless if they really -did- cut it out of the animating plan.. ..grr..) It would've made sense anyways; cause first of all Yami holds Yugi similar to this when he first loses his soul, I figured he would've held him again when Yugi woke up too. Hmm...now I kinda feel like ranting cause they didn't have it..

Really? I guess I've never really had that problem much. May I make a suggestion to you: create an "eye sheet", just doodle a bunch of eyes on a piece of paper of one character or many, whichever, drawing different emotions taking in account mistakes and thinking of ways to fix them. Have it get to where you can tell your character's emotion just buy looking at the eyes. This is -really- good practice, also could do it with facial emotions or whatever else you want; it also helps you unwind and is fun. I of course have one, with most of the eyes showing different intensities evil expressions..freaks my mom out whenever she sees it.

Yeah, I didn't make Yugi's spikes too wavy, but I did make them more soft and relaxed compared to Yami's rigid, spiky hair.

And yes, besides all the really odd things the artists did, I believe that Shadi deserved the deep blue eyes that the second artists gave him. Yellow just doesn't seem to fit him somehow. But yes, a few things the first ones did were very nice, I especially like how freaky they made some of the people's expressions look (namely Yami's). Sends chills up my spine. ^.^
