First painting of the new year. I've been dyeing new paper (and painting on it). I'll arrange a packet for download when I have enough to do so. All deckle edged. I forgot how much I love the deckle edge.I believe I'm going to 'float' these in a shadow box for shows. The actual paper is just as much a piece of art as the painting and I'd like to showcase that.
There's some iridescent ink in this one that the scanner couldn't pick up. Looks much nicer in person.

I know you've probably been asked this before, but how do you get that deckle edge on the paper? Do you tear it a certain way, or is there another trick to it?

Ooh, nice and creepy. His squiggles and whiskers and horns sort of remind me of tree branches. Though, I really like the smoke over his paw and leg there.

Wow I would not want that inhabiting my dreams, that's where it seems like he came from, the picture is very vague and curious, like a nightmare. Unpleasant, cold, dark and frightening, that's what I feel, all very well executed.

Awesome. I to have become enamored with iridescence, I suppose you use acrylic artist ink, what brand? I am an acrylic paint fan and rather enjoy the golden brand iridescent colors, they have a verry transparent base (most), and allow you to mix your own pigments with different treatments of titanium dioxide stained mica, do you know if thats the same used in your ink? Do you use much iridescence?
BTW awesome dragon. I like the squigly things coming from its back, i've allways been obsessed in a way with that form. Maby i have found a kidred artist?

This is really, really beautiful. I love the highlights on his body and the flowing mist/fog around his forelegs. Even the clouds look fantastic. It's just so gorgeous! I wish I could paint this well... But I'm still learning (got a LOT to learn @_@), so maybe one day, eh?

I love how his mane almost appears to be growing out of the background, and how the blue shines through his mouth and eyes, it makes me imagine him slowly becomeing visable or (as someone else i beleive siad) like hes being created out of the background. Really cool, loved it X)
