Yeh, I think I'm ready to start doing these in color. I've gotten tha pencil jones out of my system. A slightly more realistic rendering of arcanine. I invision them being mostly canine but with a touch of feline elements. I love his feathers. ^_^ I got kind of lazy in the middle of it, so the head is nice and detailed and the rest is just "plunk". Man, I would soil myself so bad if one of those were angry with me. They're such beautiful animals. Well, they would be if they were real.
I hope Gary realizes how lucky he is :9~~~ *wants one*

This is gorgeous. I really feel like I could run into an actual Arcanine in the wild now. However if he looks at me like this I'm going to shit my pants.
The only critique is the right eye looks a bit oddly proportionned to me, but that is NOTHING compared to the rest. The detail on the muscle makes me shiver <3

The sketchiness of the pokemon's hind part is made up for by the incredibly well drawn head of this arcanine. Great job with it! Arcanine usually doesn't stand out well with me, but this picture shows its beauty, which is something I tend to forget. Well done!

A great arcanine! I love that you didn't use the cutesy anime style for this piece. There's nothing wrong with that style, but thedifference you used is quite refreshing. could you possibly draw a cubone?

ummm in the pokemon series it looks more bulky...u did it more like a fox....but is ok, pretty good pencils.

When I learned about the Shishi (lion dog) of Chinese mythology, I kinda figured that Arcanine was probably based on it, since it's supposed to be a "legendary Chinese pokemon", but this interpretation is much cooler than anything I could have imagined.
