Just a random thought? Why draw her pregnant-ish??

It's what I do. Although clearly I could've done a LOT better on this one.

I understand you do preggos, but Karis? Jenna'd be so much more fun

I did always mean to do Jenna, but when DD was first coming out I saw character art of Karis and was floored. Something about her build and demeanor was utterly fantastic.
Then, of course, like always the game comes out and it's all "oh yeah she's TOTALLY like 13 or whatever for sure" and shit gets awkward.

They're like 17 lol so who cares? It's a good pic, but I can't wait to see you do a Jenna. Or maybe a Sheba?

I actually had drawn a sketch of Jenna and Sheba about 5 or 6 years back. They were both quite tubby, and an inappropriately perky Sheba was probing Jenna's belly with her staff, much to Jenna's annoyance. Wish I could find it.

My brother came by for a visit yesterday and he'd told me he finally got around to playing Dark Dawn. After we talked about the game for a bit, he said "You know who really needs to be drawn expanded? Ivan's daughter!". To which I responded "Way ahead of you!" and loaded up this. He loved it.
Thanks for drawing this.

Still, there oughta be more, but given how painful GS is to play through I can understand why no one attempts it. Hell the only reason I drew Karis is no doubt because I never plan on playing DD!

Given what my brother has told me about the overall short length of the game and the similiarities between it and the first (gameplay, the way it ends prematurely and hints at "buy the sequel", etc), I'd say you dodged a bullet. A bullet loaded with inane dialogue.
Admittedly though, I enjoyed the first game a bit and had a great time with the second. I played them while commuting, of course; they're a bit too simple to play when you're seated and focused, but if you need a simple RPG to plug away at on the bus to work or school, you can do a lot worse.

I'm pretty sure that's how I got through the first GS, although I also did the whole "sweet, got my first vehicle, gonna save now" thing that would be completely normal in ANY OTHER GAME EVER RELEASED only to find out I just backed myself into a corner and was trapped in the ending forever.
I recently saw a playthrough of GS:TLA, and, wow, it really looks like a gigantically unfun, tedious mess, so, *shrug*?
Anyway, the important thing is the girls tend to be hot, so uh, woo!

Your picture has absolutely nothing to do with your inaccurate portrayal of Golden Sun's storyline. Nothing I typed out above was pure fan speculation. I gathered my evidence from the Golden Sun games I played and the text I read in-game.
Your credibility is too poor for me to even provide a half-assed rebuttal to any of your slop. Being as open-minded as I am, I did click that link and perused through the obvious, piss-poor opinions of pseudo-intellectuals who have failed to complete the series--or even flat-out admitted to skipping in-game dialogue because they found it tedious.
I will not be responding back to this. I refuse to argue with an ignoramus who whole-heartily believes Hammet took advise from the Ancient Lemurians. Tell ya what; you and your anti-GS fans go on ahead and play through the GAMES once more with an open mind. Play both GS and GS TLA, since their stories are directly related. Yes, do that, and THEN I MAY consider you worthy to argue with.
Golden Sun is rated E-10. Must be a tad too mature for you and your lot of illiterate baboons.

Considering you've given me nothing but insults and whining since this whole fucking thing started, I'm just going to take a wild stab at this and determine that you're a butthurt 15 year old who is super, super upset that I don't fangirl over their mediocre video game plot that doesn't go anywhere for an entire game.
So yeah, have fun not responding and all. The 'I'm ignoring you LA LA LA LA' argument further cements your maturity.

So, no, everything you said is not what LITERALLY happened in GS1.
To best honest, I thought all what you said above was meant to be a troll post. No one who played through Golden Sun, no offense, could be that retarded.

Ha ha, oh my god. Almost nothing you say is true beyond pure fan speculation. And you call me a troll for stating my opinion on my own goddamn picture. That's...holy shit, man. Time to wake up and smell the anime, I guess.
Here, I'll save you some trouble. A currently running playthrough of the game with shot-by-shot coverage of the plot and all the pointless filler that most of this game is. I even was nice enough to filter out all posts that aren't by the LP'er himself. And if you're lucky Lowtax will have the forums open for non-members at the moment. [link]

Complaining about the puzzles not relating to the game's plot is just asinine. Cry more? All RPGs have side quests, also. What the heck would be the point of a linear route to the Mercury Lighthouse and so on? I wonder what kind of RPGs you play, because none I've touched have ever been THAT boring and straight-forward.
The side quests, as you call them, when a vital part of the story. Golden Sun shows the dangers of Psynergy, where GS TLA shows the many benefits. The story writers were down-right ingenious to contrast Isaac and Felix's experiences in such a way to give the player their own opinion on the matter. Oh, wait! You didn't even both playing the second game! I guess you wouldn't know.
Babi is hardly an evil dictator when you actually take a second to think his actions through. He seeks Adepts because he loosely connects them with the Lemurians who he stole the Mystic Draught from years ago with Lunpa. This potion of sorts (spring water) is what is keeping him alike well past a normal human's lifespan. His shady and malicious image turns him into a greater monster than he really is.
The point of the Colosso was for Babi to recruit powerful guards for his army. The Colosso wasn't even a fight to the death. . . It was an annual event for warriors across Weyard so show off their combat prowess. No one was "forced" to join in either; it was considered an honor to be part of the Colosso.
Babi, though a forceful leader in comparison to Hammet, wanted to build the Babi Lighthouse to get a better view of the Sea of Time, which is constantly enveloped in fog.
Hammet received advice from a Jupiter Adept from Atteka, Hama, who gave him a prophecy about Mt. Aleph and the Shaman's Rod. She was also the one who gave Hammet business advice that he used to create the Silk Road and bring fortune to Kalay.
Why did Hammet ignore his servant's warning and head to Lunpa? It's all in Hammet's kind personality; overlooking the dangers of the thieves up North. He had little choice, too. The prophecy Hama revealed to Hammet was that he was to part ways with Ivan in Vault, and with the bridge down South impassable due to Mt. Aleph's constant eruptions, going North was his only option.
Play the first game again. The only thing credible you stated was the Babi was a harsh ruler; that's it. Hammet getting business advice from the Lemurians! Ha! You must have had slippery fingers and skipped that part.
I respect your opinion, but I do not respect your ignorance to the story.

Pregnant, huh? I think she'd look more attractive skinny and, er, non-pregnant.
GS Dark Dawn has a broken battle system just like the others. The puzzles haven't changed much either. I keep up with the GS franchise because I enjoy the story. If you are into a difficult spin on GS, just play without power-leveling or using equipment. The fan-base for GS has always revolved around the story, shippings, and item drops. . .not how challenging the game is.
In any case, the game's definitely worth the small price it costs. We have to support GS to show Camelot that the fans still appreciate the series.

Well, yeah, she's totally hot normally too. I just like pregnant women.
As for the GS story, when you look at it (for GS1 at least) it boils down to a misleading fetch quest wherein you spend half the game going to extreme lengths to avoid either swimming or climbing small piles. If the first half of the game is just you trying to reach the next closest town to Vale, and aside from the Mercury lighthouse, nothing plot related happens at ALL (beyond setting up a side-quest wherein you rescue a man from a city of thieves after he decided he should bring his merchant wagon to a city of thieves in order to sell stuff to a city of THIEVES after recieving the amazing Lemurian advice of "sell rare stuff to people who don't have it"), then I think there's a problem.
Then you reach Babi, (who is an evil dictator trying to live forever who is holding young girls hostage, forcing teenagers into battle AND simultaneously subjecting all the other competitors to horrible Psynergy related death, and strongarming a local community into letting him build a lighthouse next to a lighthouse) and help him for the rest of the game.
The you get your first vehicle and the game suddenly decides it's over less than halfway through. Also, at no point do any of the cast form anything resembling an opinion (without immediately contradicting it seconds later) or any characterization beyond the first ten seconds you meet them.
Maybe TLA got better, but, uh, if all that PLUS the fact that it takes these people five times as long to say anything that a normal person could say in seconds constitutes the good story the fanbase loves, then I have to say you guys are crazy.
Me? I see these kids as silent protaganists and totally get the shipping portion as a result. Also the art is really, really, REALLY rocking in this series. And as much as people hate Sakuraba, I've always loved his music.
That's really about all GS has going for it. That, and the masochistic tendencies of the anime crowd. (which I'm in.)
Don't get me wrong I still want to buy this game if only to see Isaac's awesome manliness in action.

Short and sweet: I think you need to play GS1 again. I'll leave you to believe what you want, but you definitely need a Golden Sun storyline refresher. It's clearly been a few years for you if honestly you believe what you wrote above actually happened.

Quite the contrary! It's the refresher that made me (and many, many others) realize the game was like that.
Especially since everything I just said is literally what happens in GS1.

Is it just me or does she look a little pregnant maybe? I mean when you look at the proportions and the angles and what would be around where her belly button would be in relation to where her thigh is and everything, to me it looks like the belt is kind of hugging up against the lower part of a baby bump. Either way preg or not preg it's very nice, much better than anything I could ever hope to do. The only pencil test I can pass really has nothing to do with drawing or writing.

Yeah, she's supposed to be pregnant. The more I look at it the more I see what it's so ambiguous, too. Then again that's probably because when I usually draw it I tend to make them much bigger than necessary.

Well I know that depending on the program you are using you might need to choose a specific bit setting like 24 bit or 32 bit when saving in order to preserve transparency, I've encountered similar problems when making textures for use in Second Life.
