yet another unrealised illustration concept for the icelandic christmas book.poster with permission for my portfolio.
& maybe for some helpfull comments.
the yulelads are preparing for christmas while their rather grumpy troll mother's cleaning the cave.
look if you can spot the father hidden somewhere in the image.
comments & advice are allways welcome.
this is a very rouch & quick concept sketch though so don't worry to much about the rendering.
I'm planning on posting more rough sketches & concept pieces in the future.

well it isn't really my story.
I made the concepts based on descriptions for a book.
the writer of the book sadly chose another artist instead.
I'm greatfull though for the experience.
it's a good lesson & I loved working on it.
I could allways make a real illustration of the cave though.
not literally based on the story but more on the myth it comes from.
