I took a quick break from all my other projects and doodled a picture of my OC, Sam. This is a sneak peak I guess you could say of her new updated look. I have an already full body picture finished of her with her new look; but I need to write up the bio.Anyways, back to work

Yeah! I'm so glad you like the idea! i've been working on a reference picture for her for months now. I just have such a hard time with her new arm. I'm trying Β to get it perfect.Β
But here is a WiP, it's already a bit old (the arm part), but you can get the general idea
I really love her with an android arm! I was nervous about it because I wasn't sure what people would think of it; but all of my reader's have been super supportive and excited about it.Β
It's a pretty traumatic experience for her, but it is definitely interesting how she gets it! At least I think so haha
Well the idea came from a few things; but it really was due to the situation she was in in the story (sorry, I know that's vague; but I don't want to give anything away if you want to read it)
She was reaching a really big character arch and something big needed to happen. And her getting a new arm ended up being what fit best. The design of the actual arm came from my husband. He's really good with that type of thing. The blue diamond is actually an Atlantean Crystal that Ben gave Sam (hinata was the one that wanted to give it to her, but Ben beat her to it lol)
And the belt buckle is actually the planet symbol for Montressor. You can see it in Treasure Planet when Jim and Silver are looking at that giant hologram of the galaxy map that Flint used to steal treasure. And I figured since Sam was going on her own adventure she would want something that reminded her of home.Β
And then that coat she is wearing on the left is sort of her own version of an Organization Coat, it has the same perception filter weaved into that the Organization cloaks have and it doubles to help cover up her arm when she is travelling.Β
Ah, sorry for my rambling. I just haven't had a chance to talk about it with anyone haha

She looks so pretty! I've been so excited to finally see her arm, and from what I see of it it looks incredible!
Can't wait to see the whole thing!( especially so I can draw her with it haha

I actually have a fully finished picture of her new look but I didn't like how it turned out so I want to redo it.Β
Her outfit looks great but I tried a different drawing style and... yeah...
But thank you! I'm really excited to reveal her new arm! I personally really like how it looks!

She'll look a lot older in her bio pic. The Atlantean Crystal is partly to blame for her sudden older physique.
