Finally came up with a pony character, named Doctor Gearfreid Cogsdale.

He's an adventurous pegasis from Neo-Equestria who loves to fly using his wings as well as his airship.

Cool fella

When u shade use darker color of different hue.
Darker tone with colder tint. Brighter tone with warmer.
Same stuff with saturation.
Darker color are usually more saturated while brighter - less.

Of course these things vary but trying this stuff will add a lot of depth, realism and coloristics.
Think 3D.
Glass - drop shadows. Wing covers a lot of light.

Copy a few photos and you will learn by yourself a lot more than I am able to write

This is cool, this way too cool, if there was a way i could say how cool this is then it's in another language, cause in my vast universe of a vocabulary i find i niegh impossible to find a sentence complentarble enough to do this image justice.
