Good qualities? Lilo has very few and they're largely concealed under a thick layer of salt.
She tends to come across as a haughty, agitated person. It's not necessarily an incorrect observation but much of that is a front to keep people at arm's length. Lilo isn't used to genuine emotional intimacy- or really being treated as a friend at all. Her social skills and overall confidence are pretty lacking.
Deep down inside, she's still not a very good person. For most of her life she's had to rely on herself for comfort and company so it isn't too surprising that she has a very "me first" mentality. That upbringing also left her pretty unsympathetic to people. She doesn't have any qualms with using people to get what she wants. Usually it isn't material wants- usually she just wants people to tell her she's pretty and not garbage.
Aside from her big brain the only virtue that appears in her in day to day life is her somewhat nurturing side. Lilo is a healer and doesn't particularly like seeing people in pain or causing it. It's a little ironic given how nasty she is but she doesn't like to be the source of other people's emotional distress.

◗History:

Once upon a time there was a princess and a terrible dragon. Unlike most fairy tails this one strays a bit from the usual "defeat said dragon and marry the princess". No, in this story the princess was a rebellious youth named Kala that just wanted to spite her parents by sleeping with the dragon. The dragon, Samson Rowlandson, wasn't really all that terrible. He just had a weakness for women that showed any amount of interest in him. Kala got her wish! Her parents were definitely not pleased with her little cross species liaison and Samson was banned from the village. However, they weren't quite fast enough and young miss Kala ended up becoming pregnant. The twins she gave birth to, Lazaro and Lilo, quickly became an object of both curiosity and derision within the town. She was all too eager to accept her parents' suggestion and place the girls in a foster home. Sure, she was still stuck living with this shame on her family but at least she wouldn't have to deal with infants.

Foster life for the twins wasn't great but it was better than being dumped in a cave right? The two of them grew up as outsiders within their community. You'd think that that kind of isolation would draw them close right? Two little girls against the world? Best pals? You'd be wrong- mostly. As children they did at least tolerate and defend each other but the older they grew the farther apart they became. It did bother Lilo a little, but not enough to draw her to action. Instead, Lilo threw herself into her studies and eventually scored a job at the village library. It wasn't ideal and she still wasn't all that respected but for the first time it felt like she was part of the community. It was good.

It wasn't as pleasant from Lazaro's point of view. There were probably a lot of reasons that lead the more draconic twin to the library that evening. However, as all their talks did, this conversation quickly turned into a heated arguement. At some point the flailing gestures and high tempers ended up knocking one bookcase into another and in a matter of seconds the library was in shambles. It's anyone's guess which twin was the one that started "domino trail" but Lazaro was the one to take the fall. Lilo was fired regardless.

There wasn't anything keeping her there anymore. There wouldn't be any salvaging her and her sisters trainwreck of a relationship, she had no job, no friends- why was she still there? Lilo quickly rectified that and packed her things. No one noticed her absence the next morning, who knows how long it would take. The agitated Tapu Lele didn't care. She traveled aimlessly, occasionally stopping in different towns to rest and restock on her supplies. It wouldn't be long before she'd have to settle down somewhere and raise up some funds. A week or so before the official end of her travels she stumbled upon a crying man in a forest. After he finished crying he told her about his home in a town called Home and she had no where else to be. It took a few days for them to reach the town and now they're dating. Sort of.
