Hey dude! I read your comments, and you said you weathered your kit by dry brushing but did you airbrush or spray paint? I'm still quite noobish myself so I'm curious to know how you paint your kits, get some pointers if possible.

used spray paint for matte white of armor and airbrush for gunmetal parts.
i use valejo air colors for airbrush.

AWESOME! Is this basically just the internals that came with Astray Red or did you paint over the colored parts to make it all gunmetal? Incredibly awesome man! Can I ask how you did the nice weathering you applied on the shield of the figure? And what grade is this? MG or PG? Now I really want to get into model kits again...

thanks

this is a master grade kit. i don't own any perfect grades unfortunately.
they are too expensive for a single model >_>

internal red parts are painted gunmetal.
white parts are also painted with matte white. i paint everything even if it's plastic is the same color as i want to use. 'cause raw plastic generally doesn't look cool >_>

i weathered this model with drybrushing (that's a sword btw XD ), using tamiya weathering master sets.
actually all of the model is weathered, but you can't see it very well because of the light >_>

Hmm, actually I can quite pick out the weathering, although the sword (sorry about that, it looked like a shield XD) is the most prominently weathered part. Amazing work still, and I also think bare plastic doesn't look awesome at all (I try to spray paint as much as I can, if I can find the right colors, noob level I know XD).

Thanks for the info! I'd keep those in mind next time I get to make another model.

In my opinion, way cooler than Blue Frame's Tactical Arms

actually, aside from a few differences, they are quite the same >_> there are blue frame's parts on red's sprues.
