Heh heh. Β As a fan of dragons as well as Lovecraft, I really like your variation on this theme. Β I also love the way you rendered those rocks. Β The textures and shading are lovely.

Thanks! The serpent isn't very Lovecraftian as in 'grotesque' but I bet he's menacing and scary enaugh for sailor legends. The rocks took quite a while to draw.

There's so much that's so great about this drawing. Β The seaserpent's curvy lines and sheen scales.. its muscle tone, and intense expression. Β The rockface has such amazing depth, your shadows are superb. Β I really love this piece!!Β

The rock face has a lot of depth.

It's not quite as I intended it to be but I'm glad you like it. This one is more of a concept sheet for the sea serpent (maybe it's Dagon himself or so). I wasn't able to handle the mist and the perspective should have been up-to-down (to show the menacing height of the cliff from the house's entrance). So I'll do another version some time.
