Description Hoshit I MADE ARTS. Sort of. It's just a crappy sketch of Chelidon and Aedon that I did mostly over two hour-long sessions on correcting grammar and then threw some colors and brushes on in PS. But it's kind of art!

Chelidon probably looks too emo. I'm not great at expressions. He's not really emo, he just worries a lot about taking care of Aedon and protecting him. I practiced drawing his eye half-closed on pages of Herodotus. I totally have the prettiest copy of the Bryn Mawr Herodotus Book 1 commentaries ever.

I expect there are many anatomical errors. Oh well. If you want to point them out go ahead and I'll try to keep them in mind for future reference, but it's probably stuff I've already noticed and just got tired of trying to fix. (This is the second scan of this sketch, actually, after I scanned it the first time I realized that Aedon looked like a hunchback hahaha. So I fixed that but I think now Chelidon's hand on his back looks weird. Can't win.)

First I thought this is a mother with her child, but... it's pretty awesome anyway! Maybe you think that you can't draw expressions, but I don't think so. This expression is not emo, it's worried and thinking for me. And something kinda deep, too.

Aha, I laughed inappropriately at the thought of Chelidon as a mother. XD That's a very sweet thought, though! Maybe he's not so bad at being a dad?

But anyway okay so I'm the latest person in the world, but school's out so now before I go the Wyoming and then start work I have a few days to get caught up and be a good person.

OKAY SO

The eye is definitely my favorite part. Or, more specifically, the lines around the eye. He doesn't look emo, per se, more... Determined, and yeah, definitely protective.

Next to that, I really like his hair, especially where it it falls over his shoulder. It looks very nice, like a waterfall kind of. And where the lil kid is holding a hand full of it. So cute.

Awwwwwwwww omg you're still alive! ;o; I LOVE YOU. Herodotus is awesome, especially after one has seen the horrors of Boeotian dialect and Ionic doesn't look nearly so bad. XD

The angle on his face is very nicely done, and if I can learn to make hair look half as soft and wanna-touch-it as you do someday, well... I can die happy. It's a little sad, the feel of the pic, but it's not like OMGKOHLEYELINERANDTRAGICALLYHIPTIGHTJEAN S emo or anything, so... sweet work!

Bzzzahhh pretty blendy colours. The interaction between the characters is so tender and close; I love it. Chelidon really does look foxy, what with the shape of his nose and mouth, as well as of course the ear and the golden eye. Of course, I love these two anyway. <3
