Description My latest oil painting..wheee! it looks crooked because the easel is tilted. It really is straight. Really! XD I think I'm getting better at my mountains Evergreen trees are the easiest for me. The pond kinda sucks and it didn't turn out the way I had hoped, but it still looks good (This is only my 5th oil painting)

Actually, I learned mostly by watching the Bob Ross shows that my mom has been taping for me As an early birthday present, I got the Bob Ross Master Painting kit (in which you get a good start of the materials you'll need to paint), and it even comes with a video that shows you what each brush/knife is capable of doing But watching the shows has helped me alot I also have some Bob Ross instruction videos too If it's something you want to get, you can find all kinds of Bob Ross stuff here: [link] and just type in "Bob Ross" (without the quotes) in the search box They're actually ALOT cheaper there

What also helped me alot was that they offered an oil painting course at Michael's craft store. It was a one-day-only course, and it was a certified Bob Ross instructor, and she was very helpful in showing me how to do stuff and all that The class was only $40 too, which is pretty good, considering that you learn alot in those few hours

Hope that helps out!

Somehow, I thought it might have had something to do with Bob Ross. I always called him Afro Man as a child!
I'll have to look into it. I've always wanted to paint... however, the images in my head are not traditional, so I don't know if the instruction of Afro Man will be able to help me...
