There's this foggy dreamy feeling here that I really like. His 'nose' is really cool (what is the breed called?) and the scratches really add to the painting.

A Bull Terrier! My favorite breed! I have one and he's hilarious -- sits just like that. You've also captured the smug/content expression. Best depiction I've seen -- Appreciate how it's conscientiously stylized

Holy shit, something normal... I dont know what to say. This really, and I mean REALLY caught me of guard. The homelyvillain has chosen to make an accurate picture depicting something out of real life... is this your dog or did you just feel like drawing a dog? i have to admit you picked one of the more interesting looking breeds... it almost looks alien

Very nice style! I agree - it's sort of surreal. And to the person saying it looks like the frankenwenie dog, it's cuz it is. It's a Bull Terrier. It has SUCH a nice style. I love how some parts keep the texture of the paper while you hide it in others. ::goes off to see the rest of your gallery::

it is a strange looking breed of dog to begin with...
It reminds me of an old movie "frankenweener" (or "weiner" or something). It was about a boy who's dog had died, so he dug it up and played Victor Frankenstien. He brought it back to life. The movie is complete with a "burtonesque" scene where the angry mob chases the boy and his best friend into a miniature golf course castle.... anyway. It was that breed of dog. And I liked it. And I do not like many films so.
