I've been watching a few Neil Oliver progs recently. This viking man was inspired by that. Technically red beards would have been more common in the Pictish lands of what is now north Scotland, but I'm sure there would have been some amongst the Danish or Swedish vikings...Personal work. All hand-painted in CS6.

I love the character design here; the detailed fur shawl, his vibrant, red beard, and that expression really sells him as a character with a personality. Awesome work!
