A macabre and yet truly beautiful image. The details you put into the piece are lovely and the blood looks terribly realistic and makes me curious as to the actual story behind them both.
It's a lovely piece.

Hehe. The guy died for a moment, but he "came back to life" like when you get zapped to restart your heart? And the ghost kind of...stuck on him, melded with him to hold off death.

They're RP characters from the World of Darkness game Geist: The Sin-Eaters. It's hard to explain if you're never played it.
They're not really zombies. Sin-eaters are people that have died, but before their soul passes on a Geist (Old powerful ghost) comes to them and gives them a Bargain. In exchange for merging souls, and thus giving the Geist a body to inhabit... The person lives instead of dies.
The character that died's name is Oliver. The girl is his Geist, which is only called 'The Other Twin.'

Ah, ok makes sense. Ive never played any wod but almost did, my friends usually warn me of those kinda rp'ers.
No offense, but they say to the lines of .. I cant remember what they say actually.. sorry..
and after the whole Underworld and twilight thing I kinda never wanna hear about vampires or werewolves for a long time.
I know Geist has nothing to do with those settings but that actually sounds kinda cool, a little anime'ish though.
Thanks for explaining it to me (sorry if my message is a bit weird - its gettin kinda late).

World of Darkness really has absolutely nothing to do with Underworld or Twilight... At least if you play it right. Theres always going to be the people that turn something awesome and make it cliche and stupid, but that's unavoidable.
I don't find it animeish at all. It's actually a very in-depth, adult, and dark game.

No-no not saying that wod, Underworld and Twilight are the same just that I got to be really sick of this ' pop vampire ' thing going on. Its that no one does a vampire right. imo, vampirism is a curse where you go "Oh no, why me..?" and become banished from human society - not "Oh no! I'm a super Saiyan now." (Underworld) or "Oh no, I've been bitten with sexyness, lets go to high school together and have petty drama issues" (Buffy, Twilight, vampire diaries (whatever and all that crap) ect..).
I didn't say its animeish in a bad way, I just think that alot of anime's have that same kinda story. I love watching amine because a good amount of anime are dark and adult.
Is Geist new or did a new edition just come out? This local game store had a 'Free rpg day' and I saw it there. I almost picked it up but it was a small packet and didnt explain to much of itself.
Not to be weird but I talked to this older guy (40'ish), some time ago, that was from Fort Cambell. He said that he was in a gamer's club near there and once a month they would get together and have a club rp game at random locations (haunted houses, random cabins ect..). Are you part of that club? Not that I wanna stalk you or move to Kentucky, I think it would be a crazy cool coincidence, ya know?

Ah, I see. Sorry if I jumped to conclusions. Trust me, I loathe the 'teen vampire' phenomenon going on right now too. It really ruins the dark and twisted nature of such supernatural stories.
You're right for the most part. Which is probably why I don't want much anime myself anymore...
No, I'm not. I live in Louisville, and if you're talking about Ft. Campbell in TN, then it's a bit away. No weirdness assumed!

Ok, cool. You're really down to earth, its good to see that once in a while. : )
What are you talking about? I'll watch the crap out'a some anime (But I am very picky..). The way I see it, I don't watch anime cause its from Japan. What other versions of visual entertainment are willing to show the 'naughty' not-PG stuff? American cartoons? Hell no, they are to wrapped up in the "What-Would-Jesus-Do" mentality and are afraid that our children are too retarded to make decisions of moralities (actually american kids are getting more and more retarded, imo). We got live action movies and shows - but the budget for them are way too high. 300 and Lord of the Rings were amazing to me but I am sure the time and cost in computer graphics and costumes were so severe that so few can reproduce.
and then we have comics.. They are willing to do the 'nasty' and can afford to do it often, I dunno why I can never get into comics. I mean, I've read a fair amount of books but whenever a friend tells me to read a comic I just look at it and say "Why can't you make it into an animation??". <--- With two question marks, why the hell not?
But I am more into video games and table top ones. I wanna be the one making the decisions and doing the things, I get so bored 'watching' other people do it all.
Ehh, ya.. Sorry for the winded rant..

Haha, thanks? I try to be most of the time.
Though honestly, I think its a tad bit unfair to say just because something is from Japan, it's automatically bad. Though I know you don't mean it so much like that, since you said you DO watch some anime. Maybe I'm misunderstanding.
As far as my tastes... I love Japanese horror. I like watching anime that have more horror/dark aspects. It's hard to find, but I know of a couple series, and I have a couple horror manga.
Not ALL american animation is like that. And if so, is that really so bad? Sometimes something fun and innocent is refreshing. Though constantly it's a bit suffocating. I admit that I like watching the disney channel from time to time, just to watch silly children's cartoons.
Aahh. Just because something has a lower budget doesn't mean it couldn't be good! Hell, I MISS the days when things were done with puppets and optical illusions. It sometimes made the affect so much more interesting than if it was done with half assed CG. I love 300 and Lord of the Rings too... But I suppose I'm stuck in the Jim Henson generation. God do I miss it.
I like some comics, but again I usually lean towards more visually interesting and dark stories. I love 30 days of night and Silent Hill comics. Their art style is wonderful.
I don't play much video games... Sitting in one place for so long usually annoys me. Table top is awesome, but I rarely have the opportunity. I don't know many people irl that know how to play... So usually I'm stuck turning to online roleplaying chats. Which... is probably for the best for me anyway. I get really shy and stuff playing tabletop, unless I'm really good friends with the people I'm playing with.

Yeah, I think you got me wrong. Anime to me is kinda like Techno, I mean, there is alot of bland and not-so-good techno out there but if you look hard enough you can find stuff that are beyond greatness. I love Japan, it's top on my list of places to visit but I was sayin' that just because it's from Japan doesn't make it great (like a few friends I know - or make it seem).
I think that maybe why Japan holds the edge in media, to me, is that they don't follow the tried and dry Holly Wood lameness. I hate going to watch a movie and within the first five minutes you can tell who is going to live and who is going to die and how they die ect.. I know im not the only one, i've heard other pep's talk about this too. If I can predict something, im not going to be surprised or entertained.
Well, ok on the american animation. I'll level with you. Dexters lab, Fairy odd parents and even the powerpuff girls were pretty good (plus a few others that I couldn't think of). But that doesn't mean that the rest 98% of american animation is 'blah'. The few times I had to inadvertently watch the disney channel, it did feel suffocating. It is just too innocent, I mean, villains, bullies and anyone with an evil demeanor are portrayed as morons that are waiting to stomped on by the protagonists. It's setting a false environment for the children who watch these. If watching violence causes our children to emulate the activities they see on tv or at least be a little more aggressive (if you believe that) then watching these shows will weaken our kiddies. If they are bread to believe that "In the end, it will all work out. Evil can never win." Their convictions, world view and morals will be altered just as much as violence on tv and video games effect them. I feel that we are raising a weak society cause thinking hurts and pain is bad.
Yeah.. most chicks don't get into video games. I know, it's this dark realization i've noticed long ago. "Do what you want to do in life but do understand that it doesn't change the fact that its going to be a sausage fest." (A quote by me *wink*)
MMO's are Evil! *Shakes Fist*
They are sooooo boring to watch and play. I've lost so many friends to FF11.. Oh the horror..
Yes they are a social outlet but the intellectual implications to play the game are so simple and mostly don't exist.
Which is why I like table top so much more. Every Thursday/Friday and Bi-Saturday me and each day a different group of friends get together to play.. whatever. Instead of "Push 1-9 to attack some random innocent boar" its "You are outside, the sun is directly above you suggesting that its around noon. You see a adolescent boar grazing in the woods - seemingly oblivious to your presence. What do you do?" With infinite possibilities of success and failures, it at least makes you think.
I agree with you on the shyness. I feel the exact same way, I freeze up in front of people. But that doesn't mean I hide from those situations. I always try to better myself. Like, if you were right in front of me and I were to try to say the same thing, it would be no more effective than a long *moooo*. I have been getting better but not 100% still..
Sometimes when I type I just can't stop at a simple explanation and please don't take anything as if I were angry. *Smile and shrug?*
