my humble respect and appreciation to Hayao MIYAZAKI, one of the greatest storytellers of all time in animation form."Future boy Conan" or "Conan, the boy of the future" is made in 1978 under Miyazaki's direction before his ghilbi ERA.
very recently, i was looking for the dvd set of this series, but i came across a site that offered fan-sub of entirity. ----> [link]
as i said, this animation series was made in 1978. thats nearly a quarter of century ago, but the quality of animation, and most of all, the story itself is incredibly well put together, even from today's standard.
characters, who will remind you alot of Miyazaki's newer film characters, whill grab you, and you will feel their emotion though out the whole story arch.
this series gave miyazaki a platform for his motion pictures, and seeing where he came from through the eyes of CONAN, is great experience you dont wanna miss.

EPIC! I can see al the action!! I love master Miyazaki since childhood!! And Future Boy Conan is my favourite anime. Conan , Lana, Gimsy, Doct. Rao, Capitain Dyce , Miss Monsley, Repka ...simply a masterpiece of '70s animation!!

i love all of miyazki's works. i only know of the ones under studio ghibli. i have the boxset of all those movies. they're all amazing. and this is really beautiful the colors are amazing. i love it.

Great image, the boat in the ground realy makes you wonder. I realy liked Miyazaki's "Spirited Away" and I'm sad to say I have yet to see anything else by him, but even so I cannot wait to see it!

By looking at this I can feelt he wind blowing against my face. Its really great work.
His right leg is kind of odd though.
It also reminds me of bespin and the cloud city from starwars.

Very good scene, lotsa dinamic, and beautiful colors, everything is surrounded by light. Maybe the body of the plane lacks a bit more texturing, as it looks brand new, but that's about it.
I see the touch of Miyazaki in the ship's design, it looks like an interesting series

this pic is cool looks like alot of action and you did a good job. everything looks good to me especially the bg i like the way you faded the detail the farther back it goes

Nice its a very interesting montage.. nice action going on.. the flow is odd.. the aeroplane almost works as a negative space against the dessert -_-... from the looks of everything it looks like you know what your doing and can expand on that...good use of soft and hard brushes... parts of the dessert look a bit rushed.. again good job!

Great pic, I like the perspective from the side of the plane and the colours you've used. The only thing I can see that's not quite right is his left leg is a bit too close to his chest, his thigh should be there.

The little details u did in little things like the chain on the mr. ship and the reflection of the clouds on the glass thingthing looks really pretty too!

This picture is awesome. I love the angle of it as well as the subject. Yay Hayao Miyazaki! The crack in the earth could be a bit more detailed, as well as a few other things, like the face, but it has a nice painterly look and feel. ^__^

Miyazaki is such a wonderous person. As are you, for creating something this tremendously beautiful. The only thing I would really critique you about is that the motion/action seems too stagnant. Other than that, I love it. +fave
