this is oh so lovely! I love the softness of the pink combined with her demure expression. plus, the hints of blue around her eyes add a really lovely contrast

My teacher once told me that a monochrome does not contain the hues of a single color

In short it means that when portraying a color. (expl- a pink wall) an artist shouldn't be feel restricted by the chosen paint .Β
When painting something of a single color an artist should feel free to include odd colors.
(this refers to hot colors)
Blues are usually dictates age or damage at a certain spot.
Greens are usually means an assortment of grime.
Other hot color can be used as sun damage.
Yellows usually are to portray a bump of sort.
etc... etc...Β
even now if look now at palm of your hand you should notice some odd colors.
Real aren't just one single color but an assortment of colors

A monochrome is restricting term at times.
An artist will stick to a color without giving it depth.
A monochrome should only be used on the entire artwork, and even then it's not the best option.
