Apologies for the questioning, but I see that the character and the background are animated separately. The ghosts and little spiders also don't seem to follow a set spawning pattern. How did you achieve such a feat?

No problem! The sprites (ghosts, spiders, background and ash) are spawned and transformed via Actionscript using a random number generator.
