Here’s Future and Stream! Stream is not my character, he belongs to MoonXTheEclipsewing !

The last time Future heard a knock on his door was when Sparrow visited, and that was about two weeks ago. I guess today broke that record… Future thought. His wings shook even more this time. Was Sparrow finally coming to kill him? He shook off that thought. He was about eighty-five percent sure that Doctor Peregrine would get mad at him if he didn’t answer the door.

“Future, I’m all alone!” Doctor Peregrine’s voice called out. Future let out a sigh of relief and opened the door. “How’d you sleep?”

“Good,” Future murmured. “Why are you waking me up so early?” Peregrine smiled. “Today’s the day!” Today’s the da- THREE MOONS NO. Future’s wings shook again. Nautilus was forcing- making the patients cook. Cooking includes fire. Cooking has knives. Peregrine spotted his wings and flashed a smile. “It’ll be okay! We found a good match for you.” Future’s eyes lit up. Would it be Cougar? Maybe it would be Doctor Peregrine himself! “I’ll give you a hint,” Peregrine said. “It’s an IceWing!” YES! YES YES YES! COUGAR’S MY PARTNER! “Okay, then let’s go!” Future ran past Doctor Peregrine, to the end of hallway, and waited for the doctor to catch up.

“Here we are!” Peregrine stated. The kitchen was… crowded. There was so much noise, too. “Pyramid would’ve fetched you, but he told me about your reactions to him,” Peregrine continued. Future let out a sigh of relief. Pyramid wasn’t to be trusted. He probably got his scars from a victim’s last attempt at life! Then, Peregrine started walking. Future noticed a bit too late, and had to run to catch up to him. His stomach dropped when he saw that Cougar was paired with somebody else. B-but then- who am I paired with? Doctor Peregrine comes to a halt, and Future almost crashes into him. “Go sit at this table while Pyramid fetches your partner,” Peregrine commanded. Future nodded back, sat down, and waited.

Panic, Future saw Doctor Pyramid approaching him. Panic and run away. There was a ginormous IceWing behind him with a big, blue scar on their chest. Future could feel his lack of a tail vibrating more than a dragonet on a sugar rush. The IceWing sat next to him without a word as Pyramid walked off. Future tried his best to look like he wasn’t moving at all, when he was really inching away from a possible death.

“S-so…” Future stammered. Maybe if he acted nice, he wouldn’t notice. “I’m F-Future, what about you?”

“Stream,” The IceWing mumbled, looking for a pan. Then he reached over the table and grabbed flour with his massive talons. Future swallowed down a gulp. Maybe he could start a friendly conversation.

“U-uh, you got any family? I d-do-“ Future’s words were cut off by a glare from Stream.

“I’d prefer not to talk about it.” Stream bared his teeth, sending a chill down Future’s spine. He grabbed some berries and forcefully shoved them over to Future.

Future sighed. This was gonna be a long day…
