A tribute to Truchet? It seems one of his early tilings. Thank you for sharing it

Thanks for your comment It was very helpful, I don't know Truchet before and it looks really like a tribute to Truchet, but he used a random grid to place his parts.I work with a form (a rhomb in this), split it in 4 parts and combine the parts in every way (24 Ways for 4 Parts)= PermutationTo get a square ,I used the original as the last combination. Here you can see the steps behind: www.hoschie.de/kunsthaus_haven… By the way the forth part of my 2015 permutations looks really like the Truchet labyrinth:

I see, a visual representation of the permutations: a very interesting work (and - anyway - a nice generator for pretty images).Have you tried to use other algorithms for the permutations (see also stackoverflow.com/questions/27… , en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Permutat… ) in order to obtain images based on different combinations?

Thanks for the links !At the moment I try my combination with a lot of different forms Years ago I try other kinds of algorithms... I found this Version in the Web and it is the first visual way I see : www.log24.com/log/pix14C/14111…
