Yea I saw that tumblr post where that girl was over hyping on you about korra being darker, and ranting about how your interpretation wasn't 'black' enough, you have to ask yourself why anyone would take time out of their day to hate on someone that hasn't bothered them, makes me think she was envious or something, but as a black person my summarisation of the situation was...that b*th was definitely trippin' lol

i think he is also tired of drawing this one already ... what i think is the splashes of the waves does look like what people usually see but ... again its tiring huh ... and the colour of the water could be a little brighter ...Β

Spencer, I'd missed your posts, I really like your drawing style and always look forward to them. Once again I like this drawing a lot, but I agree with TheVioletFox Β regarding the texture of the water. I didn't realise it was water until I read his post, however the texturing and character colouring and personality shine through. Love it!

I'd would maybe suggest some more studies before trying to paint water again. The texture reads as fur/fabric instead of water. Other than that, everything seems very nicely rendered

Wow, I love your artwork! Β I'm getting into some painting rather than lineart with photoshop, but how do you get such good outlines around the painted figure? Β Do you just have a good hand that works around it, or are there any special tricks?

I draw the outline myself, but if you right click your layer and hit blending options there's a tab for outer glow. Change the mode to multiply and switch the setting that says softer to precise and you'll get an outline of whatever color you choose for that layer.
