Wow this is really pretty! I've tried some star photography before but is sure is tricky. I wonder how photographers get really crisp clear long exposure night shots without the movement of the stars...

Thank you! It really is super tricky. The places I've tried it have been really windy so it moves my tripod on me too. It's also hard to get the focus right since you can hardly see the stars in the viewfinder. I'm going to Yellowstone at the end of may so I'm trying to practice so that I can hopefully get some cool night shots out there where there should be less light pollution.

ah I hope to make it to Yellowstone some time! What a perfect photography setting. Best stars I've seen are out in the desert. It has been a while since I've been out there though, I sure miss those nights. Despite the focus issues, given that high ISO I'm pretty surprised by the clarity here- you've got a nice set up.
