Anyway, as far as the pic goes, the ending was...okay.
Should Sakura really have gotten together with Sasuke in the end? My opinion says no.(This doesn't mean she should've gotten together with Naruto either) I mean, seriously. After a sudden battle and realizing the value of your rival and friend, you NOW see Sakura in a different light? Bullshit! I can understand a change of heart, but don't lump characters together 'cause the look nice together.Β Even if their kid is kinda cute....... Kishimoto, you are awful at making a good heroine!
Kakashi becoming Sixth Hokage. I'm okay with this. A lot of people thought it was coming.
Their were certainly some interesting pairings, or even lack of.

Maybe if Kishimoto would have actually taken the time to develop his extended cast of characters this train wreck could have been salvageable.

Yes, it would have been good if he developed the supporting characters more. Train wreck, though. I can't see the ending as completely that. Could it have been better? Oh yeah, sure. But for what we got, it's at least satisfying. Plus, Naruto isn't over just yet.

Yeah, I stopped caring about this show when Kishimoto pulled Kaguya completely out of his ass as the true villain of the series. A character that had never even been mentioned or hinted at and will indeed never be mentioned again, was the overarching villain of a manga that ran for 700 chapters. On top of numerous hook-ups between character that either barely had any interaction at all or never so much as shared screen time. I think I'll pass on any of Kishimoto's future work.

i personally believe that Kishi should have dropped out the whole 'romance' from Naruto.. i mean, he only managed one-sided obsession through the whole story and was forced to make it end like it did bcoz he would've been mauled by the more... enthusiastic(?) fans otherwise.

Honestly I'm just glad it reached a sufficient conclusion the way it did rather than drag out another pile of unnecessary angst chapters etc. And on a nice even number like 700, you can't ask for better timing
As far as the end pairings go, some of them made me quirk a brow as they almost seemed to be hastily thrown in with little background. i.e. Chouji & Cloud Nin, Ino&Sai. Others I was kinda disgruntled with, *cough*SasuSaku*cough*
But I digress, I don't really hate any of them, it was nice to see the start of the future generation in the final chapter and to finally find out which ships Kishimoto chose for his cannon.Β
I rooted for Shika&Tem from the near begining so I'd class that as a fan-victory in my book ^_^
As for the other pairings, I can tollerate and appreciate them as regardless of which shippings I rooted for and which I didn't, the kids are bloody adorable scamps

Disagreed on SasuSaku part lol. Sasuke was a nice kid before all the corruption of revenge took a hold of 'um. IT was all the Uchiha's fault for screwing themselves over and planning a dumb civil war, the idiots! Then Itachi had to do what he had to do and etc etc.Β The whole perpose of Naruto as a series was to get Sasuke back, fully. Take away the Hokage stuff, take away world peace, and then think about it. Sasuke was like the most complex character, and in the same way how he realized team 7 as his family, it makes sense for him to finally realize he always had a girl who loved him regardless of what he had done. (Plus, Naruto and Sasuke are both oblivious idiots who can't realize a girl likes you and wants you xDD) I respect where you're coming from though

I understand if you have mixed feelings about final SasuSaku, but Sasuke at least apologized and acknowledged Sakura's feelings. And after that, well, she would never let him go, shannaro!! Β And since my own pairing was realized, I just don't feel like denying the SasuSaku fans their happy ending too. Sakura is not just a housewife for sure, but the house isn't going to clean itself on her day off, is it? (Sasuke you bum, don't take so many long missions!)
Speaking of my pairing, NaruHina forever!! Β Β Β I would rather they had more than 2 kids for sure, but given Japan in real life these days 2 is a lot. Son and daughter, both cute and a credit to both their family heritages! (And the little Uchiha miss is already stalking Bolt-kun. ) Hinata is MILF-tastic! Β
