This flag is taken from my A Greater Turkestan map, which explores what a state encompassing all Turkic people of Central Asia may look like. There are 12 stripes in total, one for each member of the Federal Republic of Turkestan, with the crescent moon and star representing the Islamic faith, predominant in the region. The red represents the bloodshed of the Turkic people, the white represents faith and purity, and the sky blue represents hope and unity.More: Emblem of Turkestan , Wikipedia-style country info-box .
